6.8-magnitude earthquake Myanmar

A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar on Wednesday afternoon, according to US Geological Survey.Tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Nepal.The epicentre of the earthquake was 25km West of Chauk, Myanmar and occurred at a depth of 84.1 km below the earth surface, the USGS said.An earthquake of 6.8 magnitude struck central Myanmar on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.The quake struck 143 km west of the city of Meiktila, the agency said.There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.According to social media reports, the quake was felt several hundred kilometres away in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok.
