UML lawmaker Yagya Raj Sunuwar said: The government has chosen to hold discussions on amendment in Nepal’s Constitution in Delhi. This has sent out the message that nothing can happen in Nepal without a go-ahead from Delhi. This is a matter of national shame. Prem Suwal, lawmaker from the Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party, said: There has been a discussion on Nepal’s Constitution in Delhi. As regards nationalism, this is worrisome. On the occasion, UML lawmakers targeted the Nepali Congress for delays in handing over first installment funds to earthquale victims. On their part, NC lawmakers asked the government to hand over the first installment — Rs 1.5 lakh — to each quake-hit family as per a House delcaration without delay. The Parliament meeting has been adjourned till August 28.
