The government has said some stranded Nepali migrant workers have returned home from Saudi Arabia, while more workers are all set to follow suit after they were laid off.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today said at least six Nepali workers, who were stranded in Jeddha of Saudi Arabia after their employer firm Ozer went through a liquidation process, returned home today.According to MoFA Spokesperson Bharat Raj Paudyal, a total of 41 Nepali workers of the company had approached the Nepali Consulate General in Jeddha seeking help to make available their remuneration. Besides, a dozen more of them were in the process of returning home due to efforts of the Consulate General, he added.He further said that 10 other Nepalis switched their job to other firms and remaining 13 were still undecided whether to return home or not.“MoFA has instructed our embassy in Riyadh and Consulate in Jeddha to extend assistance to Nepali nationals affected by the lay off,” the ministry tweeted.
