The identities of all the 22 people killed in the Trishuli River bus accident on Friday morning have been ascertained, according to the police. The Pokhara-bound bus (Ga 1 Kha 3709) met an accident at Kalikhola of Chandi Bhanyang VDC along the Narayangadh-Muglin section of the highway when it skidded off the road and plunged into the Trishuli River. The identified dead bodies have been handed over to the respective families while 16 injured in the incident were receiving treatment at the two different hospitals in Bharatpur, Chitwan. The identities of the 18 victims were established by yesterday itself while police ascertained identities of four victims today. The deceased identified today were Ganesh Shah, 34, of Jhunkhunuwa Pathhara-3, Rautahat district, Tulasa Kumari Singh, 41, of Banjara-1 and Kanchan Shah, 14, of the same district. Among the deceased include an Indian national, Sandip Bhagat, 11 of Shivahar district of Bihar State of India, according to Chief of Chitwan Police Basanta Kunwar. Similarly, police, concluding that four passengers of the ill-fated bus were missing, have been launching a search for them.
